Today we wet to Schlossberghohlen in Homburg. It is located below the ruins of the Hohenburg Castle and are Europe's largest man-made mottled sandstone caves. The caves were originally part of the Hohenburg Castle, destroyed in 1714. Rediscovered in 1930, these 12 story deep caves were eventually used as shelters in WWII and are now part of a 1 hour tour open to visitors.
