We have spent the last two days at Disney World and have had a great time. We arrived yesterday morning (Monday 12/21) and checked in to our room at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort (One of Disney's Resorts). We immediately headed for The Magic Kingdom. Of course, KK was excited just to ride the bus to the Magic Kingdom. We arrived just as they were doing a parade down main street and I think that is when KK's eyes really lit up. It was the Magic Kingdom and she was going to get to see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and the whole gang! I could tell I was going to have the time of my life just watching her experience it all.
I personally have always wanted to truly experience Disney at Christmas, and now was my chance to do so with my family. As we entered the park, was a huge Christmas tree completely decorated. The park itself was decked out with lights, wreaths, poinsettias, etc. It was absolutely beautiful! We rode a couple rides with KK, watched several parades, did some shopping, and made sure to take KK to see Mickey and Minnie. And our Disney Vacation isn't going to end yet, because tomorrow, we get to board the Disney Wonder and experience Disney Cruising in the Bahamas!
Pictures of the resort.....
The next few are for Auntie Stephanie! Oh...how she loved the Dumbo ride!
KK wanted to ride the Carousel over and over!
Time to eat! Disney food brings back sooo many memories.
We also found a little playground. This, and Mickey of course, were all KK needed to make her happy on this trip. Actually, funny thing is that just the bus ride from our hotel to the park was really all she needed. It's the simple things in life that make her happy. I only wish she would stay that way.
We watched the parade, and then she crashed out! She even slept through the fireworks at Cinderella's Castle.
Tuesday morning chocolate milk (and a little food) and we are off for the park for more fun!
We made sure to get a good spot for the Christmas parade. Santa was even there riding his sleigh down main street. KK loved it!
We left The Magic Kingdom to go check out a few other parks.
