Kody

Here are a few of the many pictures of our newest family member. Shortly after moving to Portland, we adopted Kody, a very sweet little boy. They estimate his birthday to be around May 17th. He keeps me great company late at night when I am working on Residency projects, is a big fan of the bears, and also likes to sleep whenever he has the chance=)

Snoball, Miss Kitty, Bootsie, Scotty, and Bandit

Snoball was my childhood pet. He was a sweet, sweet boy that was initially Ferrell. You would never believe he had a street life before moving in with our family. In the winter he spent 99% of his time sleeping by the heater, slept on my pillow at night, and otherwise followed me around yelling at me to pick him up and hold him. I was definitely his mommy.

Despite his diabetes, he lived to be 18 years old. I was devastated when I lost him and continue to think about him all the time.

Dad finally gave away a cat! He always tried to pon off pets to visitors, and it finally worked. From the time John and I started dating, Miss Kitty loved him. She was on his lap every chance she got. John actually started to like cats.... well definitely Miss Kitty.

Somehow, the negotiation took place and Miss Kitty moved in with John. John was truly saddened when he lost her.

John's Christmas Gifts.... For some reason, I felt that I needed to give John 2 kittens to help replace the loss of Miss Kitty. I know you can never replace a pet, but I somehow needed to make sure he had a cat. One just isn't ever enough, so I gave him Bootsie and Scotty for Christmas in 2001. Bootsie was a strange looking kitten that hadn't been adopted and Scotty was a Ferrel kitten we were hoping would come around. Unfortunately this never happened, but we still gave him a good life.

And, Scotty absolutely loved Bandit, John's childhood dog. Bandit was a sweetie and John had no reservation in keeping her when his dad sold him the house.
