The picture below is from our hotel room in Atlanta Friday night after a very long day of waiting for a plane in Augusta that never arrived. Instead of taking our chances and trying to leave from Augusta on Saturday, we opted to rent a car and drive to Atlanta, stay overnight, and leave directly from there. It is amazing how often the Augusta Airport has issues with their flights not being able to leave.
Unfortunately, our misadventure meant the cats were in their cages for 8 hours on Friday and then a full 24 hours from Saturday to Sunday before finally arriving at our house in Germany. They were both troopers, but it isn't something them or I want to do again anytime soon.
